DTN COMMENTS: Cash country is very quiet at midday with asking prices 
around $186 to $187 in the South, but still not established in the North. 
Bids remain very elusive in all areas. Significant trade volume will 
likely be delayed until Thursday or later. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 296.70 -1.79, select 288.88 -
3.46), with light to moderate box movement (61.39 lds of choice cuts, 
17.09 lds of select cuts, 8.40 lds of trim, and 11.39 lds of ground). 
Cattle futures near the top of the noon hour are sharply lower on both 
live and feeder issues.
